"My Pretty" Launch in L.A

Tons of fun this weekend at the official launch of the "My Pretty" collection at the Melrose Tarina Tarantino boutique. It's always cool to go to TT events, especially when she makes an appearance ^_^ There was a dj playing, pink champagne, gift with purchase and not to mention an awesome sale!

I ended up buying these cute earrings and got a bracelet as a free gift : )

This time around Tarina recognized me- I go to all her events and keep up w/the blog and twitter (I know, stalker- NOT! not even like that people!). I always look forward to new collections and I swear, the catalogs keep getting better and better- I love the creative geniuses of the sparkle factory!

Anyway, missed out on the gallery opening of Mike Shinoda's Glorious Excess DIES exhibit...I forgot it took place that same evening. The heat was just unbearable and it was hard to stay focused. I heard Emile Hirsch was there (Aghhh!!!!!) I would have freaked the hell out so I guess it's good I wasn't there. I have til October 4th to check it out : )

Here are a fwe more pics from Tarina's blog:

Vegas done right!

Haven't had this much fun at Vegas since... ever! ^_^

On Saturday, we arrived in the a.m. and decided to stay downtown at Fremont Street since we had never been around there. However, we quickly learned that we weren't really missing much of anything there. I like vintage but this was kinda...I dunno, didn't like it very much. Big deal, there is neon canopy thing w/bright lights that looks good lit up at night but not so pretty in the daytime.

As soon as we got over Fremont Street we headed to the strip and had dinner at the Bellagio, right before the Cirque du Soleil show. Now, I'm not a fan of buffets (not too fond of eating myself til I'm stuffed, ew) but I have to admit, the Bellagio's gourmet buffet had excellent food. There were carving stations and the dessert was unbelieveable- I'm talking creme brulee, chocolate covered strawberries and tons of other mousses and cakes.. yum.

Then, at about 7, we went to the Mirage to go see LOVE (I've been waiting to see this forever!) and it was absolutely AMAZING. I was dumbfounded by all of the special effects, the acrobatic skills and just how perfect the entire performance was. I definitely recommend it!

The following day we decided to take our time to walk the entire strip and ended up going just about to every single casino, from Mandalay Bay to Treasure Island. I wanted to try a frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity 3 [heard so much about it and didn't get the chance to go when in NY] and we happened to run into none other than Penn Jillette (Penn & Teller)!!! Truly, this was one of the best and most fun times at Vegas...

Etsy Launch- coming soon!

I am happy to announce that I will FINALLY be launching my Etsy website! I am just finishing up a few details before I post a link. I have learned that photographing, writing descriptions and listing items is ALOT of work, very time consuming. I decided to sell my stuff online because I have gotten feedback from coworkers, friends and family about my merch and I thought it was time to just test the waters and see if this can turn into anything. My brand name is Dolce Veleno, which roughly translates into "sweet poison" in English... Carlos and I thought up of the name together and thought it was fitting. I am really excited to be able to share with everyone soon, I just need to continue adding listings- which is taking a bit longer than I expected. Stay tuned for more info to come shortly!

Oh, and by the way, have you checked out the new Nylon guys issue this month? None other than Joseph Gordon-Levitt : ) Such a hottie!
