Walking in L.A...nobody walks in L.A (right)

It's funny how despite having lived in L.A for so many years it's still easy to discover new gems I didn't know existed. Carlos and I came across a few awesome places this past Friday when we walked from Hollywood and Highland to Melrose Ave.

We started our walk on Hollywood Blvd and found Charlie Chaplin's studio on La Brea.

It was located on the same lot as Jim Henson Company, we were so stoked and saw that there is a show coming up on July 18th.

After walking a few more blocks (before reaching Melrose) we saw High Voltage Tattoo, the home of the show L.A Ink. The shop was open for business since the show isn't being filmed during the summer.

When we got to Melrose we took a break and had some awesome hot dogs at Pink's. Been meaning to try this place for years but the ridiculous masses of people that stand in line always made me cringe.

Lucky for us we reached our destination- Golden Apple comics- shortly after Pink's. After having seen Blair frm G4 come to this shop, Carlos frantically looked up the address and made it his mission to find this place. It's actually a pretty cool shop with tons of vintage comics and new illustated books. When looking through some magazines with Michael Jackson on the cover, a lady that worked here told us that he used to shop there often. He once had a swarm of stupid paparazzi set up ladders in the front just to get a picture...

On our way back we looked for MJ's star, we knew we'd spot it wherever there was a huge crowd in front of Graumann's. With three guards blocking it I managed to get a quick picture...tons of flowers, signs and pictures everywhere.
