Martha, Martha, Martha

So on Sunday, twitter informed me (hehe) that Martha Stewart would be in Northridge for a book signing... I live a few minutes from there so it was perfect! As many of you may (or may not) know, I went through a bit of an obsession with her website and magazines last year. Yeah, I'm a big dork, whatever, but I stopped by Borders for a chance to get a glimpse and say hi. She was actually very sweet (I admit I thought she would be a bit of a diva, lol). Once I got to the front to have my book signed I told her I found out about the signing via Twitter THAT same morning, lol

Hi-Fructose Gallery

Visited the Hi-Fructose gallery opening this weekend in Santa Monica w/ Steph, Randy and DH. Camera battery ran out before I could take any good pics (of course) but I had my sidekick as a backup, ha. A lot of pop surrealism-- very awesome...or as some have dubbed it "low-brow art" (whatever). I wanted to thank Alex Pardee in person for the free mini print I won last week but he wasn't able to attend last minute. Guess we'll catch the cake-faced burglar next time. Also crashed a couple of other openings afterwards (might as well since we were there) and saw a lot of awesome art. Didn't take too many pics because I chose to be a quiet nerd instead.
